ATHLETIC TRAINER/REHABILITATION SPECIALIST(NY, NY)
Develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs to work on initial strength & conditioning process with clients who are not yet ready to engage in full speed athletic training due to injury or some other contraindication. Work with special populations to develop customized exercise programs (including strength, cardiovascular & flexibility training) that prevent further injuries while maintaining “sporting form.” Prepare detailed injury prevention analyses & functional movement screens (FMS), highlighting muscular imbalances & anthropometric considerations. Req. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Athletic Training or a related discipline & 5 years of experience in athletic training of individuals ranging from high school to professional level athletes; in assisting Physical Therapists to provide postoperative physical therapy; and in designing performance programs for individual athletes (including rehab program). Must be able to professionally teach proper exercise techniques and skills for strength and conditioning. Must have certification from NATA Board of Certification; be NSCA-CSCS, NASM-CES certified; SFMA certified and CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
